Origin story

We got paged one too many times.

MeshMetrics started with a practical question: why did checking a service need to feel like operating a second system?

2024 spring

Two SREs, one broken pager rotation

A night release exposed how much context was being pieced together from a browser tab, a log viewer, and hand-written notes. The first prototype focused on making a basic health signal readable in one place.

2024 summer

Prototype checks run from a laptop

The earliest checks were small scripts aimed at systems the team owned. The useful piece was a dated history showing what happened before a responder joined an incident.

2024 autumn

MeshMetrics opens early access

The prototype grew into a cloud console with configurable checks, status pages, and alert routes. Early testers asked for more retention and easier integrations.

2025

Plans for teams of every size

The plan structure now ranges from a compact monitor set to broad coverage, while keeping the same basic model: observe authorized endpoints, preserve the event trail, and route the signal deliberately.

Alert fatigue is a design failure.Notifications should be routed with intention.
Your data exports anytime.Operational history should remain useful outside the console.
Only monitor what you own.Use checks only on sites you own or are authorized to monitor.
Availability with a condition.99.9% platform availability target, measured monthly.
